December News

Happy December!!

It is hard to believe that the year is coming to an end! The children have been doing a great job in class. They come in each day eager and ready to play and learn!

November went so quickly that I didn't get a newsletter out! Right after Halloween the children were already eagerly anticipating Christmas. So we had a discussion about Thanksgiving and why it was important for us to celebrate what we are thankful for. We also talked about what foods we were excited to eat with our families. In November we also had so much fun spending time with our grandparents at our Grandparent's Day program! It was great to meet all of them! It was a wonderful day!

During the month of December will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa but also the birth of Jesus. As a class we will be discussing what the true meaning of Christmas is. We have already made our Advent wreaths and each Monday we will be lighting a candle.

As a reminder we will be going outside as long at the wind chill is above 20 degrees. Please make sure you send a hat and gloves with your child every day. The children love walking over to the big playground so we will continue to do that as much as possible!

Our Christmas program will be on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00 pm in the school's gym. We have not been given a specific time to have the children there so be on the lookout for an email with the time.

On December 19th and 20th we will be having a pajama and movie days! One of those days we will also be ordering pizza for lunch. This will also be our holiday celebration as a class. It will be two days of fun! We are doing two days because we have some children that only come on Monday/Wednesday/Fridays or just Tuesday/Thursdays.

As always if you have any questions please let me know!! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
