Athletics

Holy Cross has a long history of having an outstanding sports program. Our varsity teams are competitive. Our 5th and 6th grade teams are focused on teaching fundamentals.

Holy Cross offers the following sports teams for students in grades 5-8: baseball for boys, volleyball for girls, basketball for boys and girls, track, cross country, and cheerleading.

We are members of the Illinois Elementary School Association. We are also governed by the Office of Catholic Schools, the Diocese of Peoria. The diocesan athletic handbook is available at www.cdop.org, clicking on Education.

Our Athletic Booster Club members make our athletic program possible. They help to raise the money to fund it as well as provide the volunteers to monitor the games and activities. Please support our athletic program by selling tickets, monitoring the halls, and selling concessions at our home games. One parent of each student athlete should be available to help in this way at home games. Gary Wszalek is the Athletic Booster Club president for 2008-09.
