Our Mission
Holy Cross School is a faith-centered community fostering lives of service, integrity, and life-long learning. We are committed to Catholic education founded on Gospel-centered values and the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. We are called to be Christ for others and to see Christ in others.
Our Staff
The Holy Cross staff works hard to create and maintain a positive climate. It is important to us that students enjoy coming to school and are supported in developing academic, as well as interpersonal skills. We pride ourselves on having an atmosphere where parental communication and involvement is a key ingredient in the success of each child's education.
Our Curriculum
Our comprehensive curriculum unites the Gospel message to our students'; daily work with morning prayer and school-wide religious celebrations, and community service. Students are also supported in learning and practicing appropriate conduct, good manners, and kindness to one another.
Our Facilities
Our computer lab is equipped with 28 E-Macs with Internet access. Individual classrooms also have Internet access. Students at all grade levels receive computer literacy instruction on a weekly basis. Students in grades 7 and 8 may take additional computer coursework.
Our library consists of over 9000 volumes. Cataloging, check out, and reading incentive programs are accessible on-line.
A hot lunch program is offered daily in our cafeteria. A variety of nutritious lunches are prepared on site.
Our Aftercare program provides supervision and activities for students from dismissal to 5:30 p.m. daily.
The Holy Cross gym with its traditional hardwood floor is used for our sports program as well as daily P.E. classes.
Our Legacy
Our legacy spans over 90 years in the development of Catholic youth with faith-based values and high academic accomplishments. Our goal is to ensure that each child is prepared--both spiritually and intellectually--to succeed in high school as well as becoming responsible Catholic Christians throughout their adult lives.
