Holy Cross School has been educating young people in the Champaign-Urbana community for over 100 years, having been established in 1912. We are known for providing a faith-filled and academically rigorous program.
Students graduate from Holy Cross well prepared for high school with excellent academic skills and knowledge in the Catholic faith, literature, writing, math, science, and social studies. They have many opportunities to be well rounded individuals through participation in our liturgical celebrations, our service projects, physical education program, extracurricular sports program, and strong fine arts program. Our students have received honors and state recognition in academics, sports, and music. They consistently earn test scores that are well above the national average and near the top of the students in our Catholic Diocese of Peoria. Recent test results can be viewed in Resources > Current Families.
We welcome the opportunity to share with you the many opportunities available to our students. These opportunities include Scholastic Bowl, band, music classes and competitions, Spanish, Algebra, Rube Goldberg competition, the Challenger Space Mission, art classes, a 9,000 volume library, wireless network, SmartBoards, consumer education, and participation in a professional quality spring musical.
